The only difference in a refurbished helmet and a new one, is the helmet shell. We use Original Gentex parts in the areas where Gentex is the Sole Provider. The rest of the helmet's parts are from sources such as Electro voice, Acousticom, Oregon Aero, and other helmet parts providers, which also provide parts for the Gentex SPH-5.
Our helmet refurbishment is so good, that we give you a TWO YEAR warranty on all parts we provide, to include the microphone, earphones, cords and boom. Lenses are not covered, unless they come apart. Abuse of helmet is not under warranty, please use common sense, and take care of your helmet, it is an expensive piece of equipment that will last you for years to come, and all you have to do is place the helmet in a protective helmet bag when your not using it. A helmet bag only costs $29.00 and is well worth the protection it provides.
