Gerber Recon LED flashlight fills four distinct roles, all in one compact design. An integrated lens system allows the
user to instantly switch between four light colors for different tasks.
Sometimes the simple solution really is best. With the
Recon, Gerber avoids the need for different color diodes, or separate lenses that need to be carried and then swapped in the dark.
A single, offset LED allows a rotating bezel to instantly change lens colors for the task at hand.
The clear lens offers the brightest
white light for general use; a red dimmer lens is perfect for maintaining night vision; a blue lens helps with fluid identification
for hunters or law enforcement professionals; and a green lens is great for map reading, or general night visibility and safety.
The
Gerber Recon weighs just 2.6 ounces. A single AA battery provides power, and battery life is good since the Recon is not a high-wattage
light (it’s intended primarily for close-range task use). The 3.5” body is constructed from anodized aluminum, and the Recon
is weatherproof for outdoor use.
