The Smart Choice for Long-Term Maintenance The ACR Pathfinder Pro SART is designed to lower your total cost of ownership. Unlike older models that used restricted hazardous batteries, the Pathfinder Pro utilizes Lithium Iron Disulfide (Li/FeS2) technology. This means the unit is Non-Hazmat, allowing you to ship it anywhere in the world without dangerous goods surcharges or complex airline restrictions.

Rugged & Reliable Built to withstand the toughest marine environments, the Pathfinder Pro features a high-visibility yellow chassis that is waterproof, buoyant, and impact-resistant.

  • 5-Year Battery: The long-life battery pack only requires replacement every 5 years.

  • Included Hardware: Ships complete with a wall mounting bracket for the bridge and a telescopic pole for life raft deployment.

  • Global Support: Backed by ACR’s worldwide network of service centers and regulatory approvals (MED/SOLAS/USCG).

Key Specs:

  • Battery Class: Non-Hazardous (Exempt from Class 9 Shipping)

  • Standby Time: 96 Hours

  • Dimensions: Compact design (8.94" height) for easy grab-bag storage.

  • Warranty: 5 Years (Limited)

Q&A:

  • Q: Can I replace the battery myself?

    • A: The battery is designed to be user-replaceable, however, for commercial vessels requiring a shore-based maintenance certificate (SBM), battery replacement is often done by a certified shore-based maintenance provider during the annual or 5-year inspection.

  • Q: Why is "Non-Hazmat" important?

    • A: Hazardous batteries (Class 9) incur high shipping fees and are often rejected by passenger airlines. Non-Hazmat batteries can be shipped as standard freight, saving you hundreds of dollars in logistics costs over the life of the vessel.

  • Q: Does this unit float?

    • A: Yes, the SART is buoyant. However, for the SART to work effectively, it must be mounted upright and as high as possible (using the included pole), not floating flat in the water.

  • Q: What happens if I leave it on by accident?

    • A: The unit consumes very little power in "Standby" mode (when no radar is present). However, you should check the switch is in the "OFF" position during your monthly inspections to ensure the full 96-hour capacity is available for an emergency.
